how to create a new Card in an existing Visual task board using script

How can I create a new card using script in an existing visual task board. I tried this script but I had no luck:

What didn't work with the script? Nothing or did the vtb_task record got created though not linked to the board? Please provide a bit more context, that saves us from searching for things you already know.
