Is that possible to change planned start date and planned end date in the change request

Hi ,

 

We have a requirement that in the change request Planned start date and Planned end date field to be not greyed during the entire life cycle for users under assignment group -

 

Is that possible , please help me on this below request

you need to convert UI policy to client script to achieve your requirement to make it editable only for certain users like assignment group members.

This readonly is not out of the box. As per best practice and standard practice many clients do this. Reason behind this is, any change in schedule needs stakeholder's approval and in servicenow flow you cannot go backwards for approval again. 

 

Now if you allow assignee of the CR to make change in the entrire life cycle of change then he can change it anytime even after approval, without stake holder's approval which is not right.

 

Before implementing this, I would advise, you discuss the Cons with the business, but if they are not convinced and you have to do it then in that case then in your below UI policy make uncheck the active field box:
