Hi Everyone,

I created a new application and was extend to task table.

I created a table with the generic ACL.

I noticed that after granting a read-only role to a use. The Work notes and Additional Comments didn't show while others are okay.

is there a special ACL for those to fields?

Many thanks

Hi Mark,

The tricky part is that a user must have permission to WRITE to those fields to even be able to see them.

The reason is that they are both what's called 'Journal Entry' fields, which are for entering new data only... thus the requirement for write access to see the field.

Hope that clears it up some.

Thanks,

-Brian

Hi Brian,

Actually I already did what Srikanth told me to add a write ACL to that field but it is still not viewable.

I've run into the same issue.

I have the form locked after state = completed, but no matter how I try to explicitly allow access to 'work_notes', no dice.   I've done this before pre-Geneva...so wondering if that is an issue.

Hi,

this is an old topic, but I ran into the same issue. Anyone who found a solution to it?

Hi Christian,

The user must have access to write to both the record and to the work_notes/comments field (whichever) in order to even see the field on the form, so verify they have those two ACLs in place giving them access.

Thanks,
