Is there a way to make the Republish button available for non Knowledge Admins?

I'd like to make the Republish buttons for retired articles available for Owners of the Knowledge Base of those articles? 

Is there a way to do this without giving them the Knowledge_Admin role? Our platform admin is not allowing us to give the Knowledge Admin role to them and we need a way around this.

The 'republish' button is a UI action. Check on the conditions to see what they are and apply the role you want to use as well.

The question is: why do you want to give users a certain role on the platform and the platform admin doesn't want you to. You are working around his limitations, so one of you isn't following the rules of your company. Why don't you just put the requirement with him: 'these users need to be able to republish articles. It doesn't matter how you do it, but fix it.'
