Issue with Approval Notification in Service Portal

Added html variable in html description field in the workflow when user embedded an image in the variable field, the email displays the code "data-key" instead of the image. Why is the image not displayed?

did you verify how it looks in email preview?

Did you try giving hard-coded image or some link?

Are you sure that variable has image in it? did you try to log value for it?

your question is talking about email notification, but the screenshot you shared is for Updating record

Can you share the step where you are sending email?
