Kb articles need to update from publish to retire

Hello experts, i want to update the kb article state to retired when a new article is published. when i am updating new article the old article are going to outdated i have give a picture below which is underline with red color is outdated i have to bring back them to retired state. please help. Thanks.

Take a look at Article versioning (servicenow.com). I believe this will help you in an OOTB way.

I have already read this but no use, i think it can be done with some scripting

Hi @shaik23,

What exactly does the versioning not do, what you want it to do?
Everything can be accomplished by scripting, but it's not always the right way to do it 😉

Yep its OOB, i have modified script but the current and previous articles are also going to retired state unable to stop workflow.

The OOB script is KBVersioning i think so. its script include if possible please check and let me know where and how to fix this.
