KB Contextual search in portals

Hello All,
I want to add KB contextual search for choice field (dropdown field) for a record producer in employee center portal. I could see in OOB we can add KB contextual search for string fields in portal. Similarly can we have the contextual search configured for choice field in record producers in portal. If so can anyone please guide me on this.

Seems it is not available OOTB and need a modification at platform level.
