Learning#12 : What is Timer Triggers in Flow?

Hi All,

This is about Timer Triggers in Flow Designer ( sys_flow_timer_trigger). This table stores all the timer when the flow should be trigger. Like Daily 6Pm, Weekly 12 PM etc. 

Major question is if your flow is set to run daily 6PM then at what timezone will it run as timezone is not defined in any field in flow timers.

After so much investigation, we found out that flow be default takes the timezone of the user who is building or setting the timer against a flow. So If a user who is setting the timer trigger in flow has any specific timezone selected in his user profile then this flow auto takes that timezone otherwise it picks the system timezone.

This is very good learning for me that make sure who is defining the timer trigger otherwise it will run at the wrong time. If it is 6PM and user has selected EST Timezone while defining this flow trigger, then it will run at 6PM EST.
