Loaner Request System

I know there is "Loaner Request System" custom application. I'd like to install it into my Fuji instance. Does anybody know how we can do that?

Hi Koji,



If you mean the app released on Share, it's pretty easy.



1. Go to the app on Share:


ServiceNow Share


2. Click the Download button.


3. Log in with your credentials (either for the Hi system, or your account on Share if you have one).


4. Wait for the XML file to finish downloading.


5. Upload to your isntance as a retrieved update set:

6. Follow the normal steps to apply the Update Set:


Transferring Update Sets - ServiceNow Wiki (previewing before committing)

Hi Koji,


I would like to know how the loaner request system is working out for you on your Fuji instance.   I also wanted to use this app and tried loading it to my Eureka development instance.   After importing the update set and previewing it, I received 10 errors stating it was unable to find a record in the sys_security_acl all referencing different sys id's.   Got the same preview errors in a Fuji demo instance I spun up.   I asked the tech people at Hi their take on this and they strongly advised against putting this update set on an instance beyond the Calgary/Dublin family it was created on.   So, I'm curious how it's working out for you.   Are you using it in production?   Any problems?

Hi Chris,


Is your Update Set "4.1.1"? It has the description of "4.1.1 removes ACL roles that were causing preview errors". I had no errors.
