My curiosity has gotten the best of me..
I've noticed that macbook seems to be very common for ServiceNow presenters, trainers, etc. Are there any particular reasons for this? Why are macs used more than Windows devices?

I couldn't tell you why, but it actually is pretty spread out across the company. The team you are on tends to dictate the type of computer you get and what functions you will be using it for (coding, presentations, research, video production, writing, graphics work etc.)

I'm an analyst, the admin of the system who does most of what you mentioned and more, what would be the recommended device?

Coming late to the party, but this is an interesting question and I thought I'd share my piece. Without getting stuck with a logo , Bianca is definitely right about the functions you perform dictating what you need to use.
I know some people (outside of ServiceNow) who get a Windows machine and nuke it to install a Linux distro since they like to live in a command line environment for looking at logs and the diagnostic tools (ssh, telnet). I can imagine their IT department not being happy with that, since they will want to officially support Windows to the extent of having vendor support when needed - Linux distro support will most likely be forum/web search based resulting in varying ways to achieving a requirement that may or may not be "safe" in the eyes of the IT department.
For me, being in a Support environment, using a Mac is very helpful as we use a lot of the native command line tools such as grep to review logs. Since we also logon to the application servers (which are Linux based) we won't feel as though that there is a steep learning curve since the environments (from a command line perspective) are very similar if not the same.
My personal experience has always been on a Mac anyway for the past 12 years as I was a graphic designer before joining ServiceNow -in the early days Macs were heavily considered the defacto for designers. I'm lucky in that respect, as I do not have to face a learning curve with handling Windows.
