Make field editable on service now standard ticket widget

I have a requirement in the Service Portal where I need to allow users to change the assignment group either through a dropdown or by directly editing the field, similar to the cell edit functionality available in the list view. Is it possible to make the 'Assignment Group' field in the ticket header widget editable in this way, either as a dropdown or inline edit?

No, it's not recommended.
An end user should never change the assignment group. Assignment groups are meant for internal users or fulfillers only.

So, what you're requesting is not a valid requirement.

Nope.

Standard ticket widget is meant to show info on portal to end users.

Why would you allow end user to update the group on case?

Case has to be worked upon by internal agents and not end user.
