Manufacturing Commercial Operations (MCO) vs custom SOM workflows in ServiceNow?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently researching how  ServiceNow is used in manufacturing environments for sales and order management related processes.

It seems there are different approaches. Some organizations use ServiceNow Manufacturing Commercial Operation, while others appear to build Sales & Order Management workflows directly in ServiceNow, often integrating with external CPQ or pricing platforms such as Logik.ai.

I’d be very interested to hear what people are seeing in practice.

Is Manufacturing Commercial Operations commonly used for these scenarios, or do teams more often implement custom workflows on the ServiceNow platform?

Any insights or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Have a nice day,

Piroska
