many user account without user id and same email address to process inbound emails and set the calle

Hi All,

 

In an instance I see around 40 user account without user id and same email address but unique user name to process inbound emails and set the caller from the user account name. I had not seen this before and wonder if this is an acceptable solution or if there would be a better approach.

 

If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd be interested to hear.

Hi Ellie, I've not seen this approach before either. Perhaps using a custom field to store the caller ID and populating it with the username during inbound processing could be a cleaner solution?
