I am setting up a read access role only for some IT folks who only need read access to service-now.
We have about 200 read access control lists and I want to add this read role to all of these records.
Is there a quick way to update all these ACLs other than manually going into each ACL and adding the role?
thanks

ok I have suspended any thought of bulk mapping the role to all ACLs because on adding my read only role to some read ACLs it has stopped ITIL users from doing anything
I just want to give a group of users read access to all records in service-now.
What is the easiest way of knowing which read ACLs to use in order to map this newly created read role?
thanks

What exactly do you mean by "it has stopped ITIL users from doing anything"?
If you've introduced an issue, I would sort on the updated field and work your way down the list.

ok for some reason there was a new read ACL created with my read_only role and this stopped ITIL users from seeing anything so I deleted it and now ITIL is working fine
So starting again - I want a group of users to just have read only to service-now
I create a read only role say called read_only which contains the group of users
How do I then find out what ACLs to apply this new role and make it work?
