Mass email communication to clients/users using ServiceNow.

Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone is utilizing mass email communication to send emails from ServiceNow? As you know ServiceNow has a build in email functionality but does not have a feature to send mass emails so this would be a custom development? In my experience when mass emails are send about outages/changes it is based on datacenter, customers, clusters and etc.

High overview of development approach?

Pro/cons?

Any help/feedback will be appreciated?

Yes. That functionality can be added, i can add that if community feels that would be help.

So you are thinking of some sort of date/time should be added where to person can setup the communication to process at that time?

So i guess it needs to be build where one can send the notification now or wait to send in future selected date time? Is that sounds right?

hi Faisal - I realize this is a dated post, but I have a question about your app. I would like to be able to send notifications to all the group members of all groups of a particular type.  I was looking to do this as part of the "Build an email list" functionality, but it looks like that's limited to a field of a specific table, with no option to dot walk to fields of other tables.

I was curious if you might be able to help me understand if it would be possible to "quickly" update that functionality so that instead of picking a specific table and field name, I could dot walk to a field of another table.  In my scenario, I "think" I want to get to sys_user_group.user.email  where email is coming from the sys_user table.

It's not clear to me how I might be able to make this modification, or if it's a small/medium/large undertaking.  Your guidance would be appreciated.
