MID Service account validation failed

Hi,

I just created a new SNOW instance running the Paris release.

I downloaded the MID server installer for Windows (64 bit) and unfortunately I'm stuck in the service account validation.

The error message is:

Service account does not have the "Log On As Service" right.

I checked the log on as service right and the user has the rights.
Tested also with 2 other users, but still the same issue.

The "old" Orlando release worked fine.

Any ideas?

I ran into the same issue the first time. I follow below steps to make sure I got the "Log on AS Service" correct.

1.Logon to the computer with administrative privileges.
2.Open the ‘Administrative Tools’ and open the ‘Local Security Policy’
3.Expand ‘Local Policy’ and click on ‘User Rights Assignment’
4.In the right pane, right-click ‘Log on as a service’ and select properties.
5.Click on the ‘Add User or Group…’ button to add the new user.
6.In the ‘Select Users or Groups’ dialogue, find the user you wish to enter and click ‘OK’
7.Click ‘OK’ in the ‘Log on as a service Properties’ to save changes.

Thanks Patrick. I already did this, but I still get the same error - even if the user is listed under "log on as a service".

Can you share how you have the username enter?
