Modify view for Workspace created using UIB

Hi,

I have a requirement to change the view of incident form in a workspace that was created using UIB. I could see that using the UX List (sys_ux_list) table, I could modify the list view of a table. Is there any way on how I could modify the view or the least modify the fields and tabs manually. Please suggest.

TIA

In the desktop UI, you can open a list of incidents, switch to the Workspace view, then open an incident and modify the form layout.

Thanks for your suggestion, Michael. I tried this but am not sure if there is a way to associate a particular view to the mentioned Workspace.

You could change the view in a workspace by setting up a page property and then using that everywhere there is a view setting but that's a global change, not for a single table and I don't recommend you do that.

If you are just trying to adjust the view on the Incident, I'd make the modifications to the workspace view in the desktop UI. That's the safest way!

Not sure if you still need this, but for anyone that's looking for the solution to this:
You could achieve this by creating a Workspace View Rules, and associate it with the corresponding UX View Rules Configuration.

  1. Search for "Workspace View Rules" in the filter navigator and create the view rule.
  2. Then, search for "UX View Rules Configuration", locate the workspace config that you wish to add the new workspace view rule you just created in the related list then verify that your view is associated.
