Hello,
I need the user to define in a request a set of components of which some are built on a set of (sub)components.
Ideally I would try to have an a MRVS with some variables being MRVS, but I am not sure it is possible, anyway I cannot find a way to do it.
Is it possible? If yes, how?
If no, what is the best way to get something similar?
Thanks

Hi @Flavio4
No , it is not possible, that you can nest MRVS in MRVS.

Hi AG - LearnNGrow.
The use case is a process for procurement of big industrial air handling units. These foresee the choices of multiple components (e.g. multiple fans), each of them with the choice of multiple operating modes, flow rate, pressure dropt, etc.).
I will try to go with several "flat" MRVSs, where the "depending" MRVS has a "key" column (e.g. "fan 1", "fan 2", etc.) to refer all the depending multiple choices, to all the fans.
I will wait for any "smart" suggestion to do better then this, before accepting as a solution.
Kind regards
Flavio4

I asked a similar question a couple of years back -- never did get a decent "clever" answer. Like yourself, I adopted a "multiple flat MRVS with a join field" approach to (sort of) solving this.
IMO, an MRVS is a mixed blessing. Very handy for input and edits, but an absolute bear to report against.
