We have a requirement to display the total budget for different projects for a specific fiscal year. Some of these projects are multi-year, so if we rely on the fields in the project records, we will end up getting the total budget for all years combined. Therefore, we need to establish a relation to access the project budget's related list (specifically, the project_funding table or cost_plan table) to filter the budget by a specific fiscal year for various projects either on investment portal or portfolio planning workspace.
Has anyone encountered a similar scenario before? I believe this is a reasonable scenario.
