Multiple notifications triggering for same update

Hi,

Currently , we have this set up in  Service-now ,  if the additional comment is updated in RITM,  it will also update the additional comments of the associated SC Task. We have created a notification on sc_task table if the RITM is updated (which also updated the additional comments of the task) and if the updated by user is not the requester  , a notification will trigger for the requester for from the SC Task. The problem we are facing is,  if there is only one SC Task , it will only trigger one notification for the requester, but if there are multiple SC Tasks associated with the RITM (for example - 3 sc tasks) , the same notification update is triggering from each task to the requester. So, instead of getting one notification for an update, the user is receiving 3 notifications for the same update.

Could you please suggest how to resolve this issue to trigger only one notification if the RITM additional comment is updated ,even if multiple tasks are there for the RITM. The notification table will remain sc_task.

The only solution is to set your notification to run on the RITM table.
