Multiple outbound email server

Hello,

I've seen several discussion about this topic, but haven't really seen a clear answer for this, hence my question.

I'd like to set up several email server for outbound messages. This is needed due to being Managed Service Provider. For example for certain customers we would like to use helpdesk@domainA.com while for others helpdesk@domainB.com.

As mentioned earlier it is not clear for me how is that possible, if it is possible at all(don't get me wrong, I don't expect here a full implementation, but rather a guideline how to do that). I've seen the Email accounts plugin, but only one 1 active SMTP server can be active one time. Both of the domains are Google domain, however those are not connected to each other(cannot be an alias of each other, etc).

We are going to implement and use domain separation in the future. Can we have multiple email servers in use at the same time using domain separation? I've limited knowledge in that due to being new to Servicenow, so apologies if that was a fool question.

If that is not a good way, then what other options do we have in this situation?

Hi Gergely,

I was able to find a workaround for this. Have your helpdesk mailbox your end users currently email to redirect to your instance mailbox and for your notifcations to look like they are still coming from that mail box set the FROM field up like this exactly. PC Help Desk <pchelpesk@example.com> and your reply to pchelpdesk@example.com. When replies to a message the pchelpdesk mailbox will route the message to SN. We have not had any issues with SN not recognizing who the message came from either as it it a redirect.
