Hi All,
Currently IT is using the servicenow and proposing HR to onboard into servicenow. Before buying the actual HR module HR want to use the tool just by having a catalog item in the request module and work on this for 3-6 months.
As of today when ever an email is sent by ITend user receives mail from XXX@service-now.com. The problem and requirement is, all the emails using HR catalog items should show as YYY@service-now.com. HR dont want end users to see XXX@service-now.com
We(IT) are planning to sell the tool to all other business unit and HR is the start, other business units follow the same.
This will be a big business and we dont want to loose, seeking for a solution.
Thanks is advance.

In the email notifications, under advance view, there is a From & Reply to fields:
From |
Enter the email address that you want the email notification to use in the From field. For example, helpdesk@yourcompany.com. The email must be in a valid format, otherwise a notification message appears near the field. Changing this address may require an advanced email setup such as enabling email forwarding, for example when using Sender Policy Framework (SPF) records for spam detection. |
Reply to |
Enter the email address you want people to use when replying to the email notification. For example, helpdesk@yourcompany.com. The email must be in a valid format, otherwise a notification message appears near the field. Changing this address requires an advanced email setup such as enabling email forwarding, |

Thanks for the reply.
We are aware of this but didnt proceed as we cannot send an email with the notifications.
- HR want to communicate with the end user only using emails and End users should not know that HR is using Servicenow. If we use the 'From' option in the notification how can HR send any attachments to the end users
In our instance we created a button called 'email' which we use to send an email from the RITM with an attachment so that the End user will not enter into the tool to view the attachment.

We are looking for an end to end communication with attachments only using emails and end user should never enter into servicenow.
