To add column "Global", select the gear icon.
And then move "Global" to the right.

Hi,
2 things to check
1) Did you make that variable available to catalog task if you are using workflow activity by moving it from Selected bucket to Available bucket
2) any catalog client script OR ui policy is hiding it on Catalog Task view
