Need to create web service fields without the suffix u_fieldname

I need to create one web service and create few fields underneath that web service table. Whenever I am creating any fields it is adding its name with prefix as u_field name which is added by default for custom fields. Is there any other way by which we can add field without the u_ prefix.?

This is normal and expected behavior when working in the global scope. You also can't change this behavior when working in the global scope.

I am doing one integration with a SAP based monitoring tool. They have field name short description in their end. Now they can't change it at their end to u_short_description. We are using import set API here for integration
