notifying to the user

i have a requirement on notifications,

as a requester, I shall receive an email notification informing the submission /approved/rejection of the record.

how to achieve this functionality,, if possible provide examples also..

Hi VSN,

   By default for new Request,Rejection,Approval a notification willbe triggered to the Requestor.

Iam Sharing the screen shots here for them.Also you can add anyother users by click on the lock icon....
