Now Assist case Summaization in custom tables

Hello. I'm working on FSO module, and I have all my use case on a custom table that extends "sn_bom_case" table.

 

I am trying to duplicate the ootb Case summarization but I'm facing some problems. I duplicated the OOTB "Case Summarization" and changed the var sets with table and fields that is related to my custom table

Since this is a copy of OOTB skill, I cannot click on create UI Action or flow action related to this skill.

 

My goal was to have the same behavior of the ootb that is show this modal but for my table.

Anyone knows how to configure this for custom tables?

I figured it out. It was rather complex so I will give my general steps.

1. Made the Now Assist AI Summary component available in UI Builder.

2. Add the component to my workspace, then add the preset controller that will be suggested for that component.

3. Clone the OOB case summarization skill (HRc ase is easier than incident), then go to skill configs / skill applicability tables and edit all info where the OOB records point at HR or incident to your custom table. This removes input fields so you have to add those back.

It is only possible to clone a skill if you forget the serviceNow Now Assist UI exists and dive deep into the tables and configurations.

Would you mind sharing detailed steps on how to create summarization skill on custom table?

We would like to have it for alm_asset table and summarize work notes.

This is for some other OOTB workspace.

Also we noticed that there is no separate plugin for activating Summarization for Asset table and the OOTB workspace which we are using doesn't have the component "ai_summary_card_1" which is responsible to show the option in workspace.

how to handle that?
