I have followed all instructions from the documentation on the driver and have also set up the proxy as per the documentation however when I get to the last step where I try to test the connection from ODBC Data Source Administrator, I am receiving the following error:
Database Error: 1001
[SN][ODBC ServiceNow driver][OpenAccess SDK SQL Engine]Cannot connect to the instance.
[dataSource=1644374707144]
[user=odbc_user]You are not authorized to perform this operation. Please verify your credentials and try again.[1001]
I have verified the credentials and I am able to log in to the instance with the same credentials. I have also granted the odbc role to the account as per the instructions. What else could it be ?

Yeah I had also found the same thread, but did not help unfortunately.
In that same thread I found the telnet command to check the connection to the instance however I got an error: Could not open connection to the host, on port 443: Connect failed
I am not sure why, I specifically put in a request with the IT department to open up the connection to the instance over port 443, but I am still getting the same error.

Ok. may be you can check on HI portal if there is something written specific to ODBC issues as sometimes some knowledge articles are hidden from public in community.
I also hope you have already stumbled accross this link . If not then no harm in giving a try.
But not too sure about this.
Or Final ask would be to raise a HI support ticket and get more inputs from them.
