On Call Outlook Integration

At a recent training session I was asked if it possible to integrate the on call calendar with outlook.

Basically they want a way add on call to their personal calendar.

Now over time I have learned to anything is possible with the right resources but I think this would be basically building from scratch. Before I answer I wanted to pose this in case there is something close or on share, already designed I could leverage off. If its start from scratch, it wont happen at this time.

If you have a solution, I'd be interested in seeing it. I'm assuming it's similar to the Change Management integration Outlook.

We have a recent request to allow users to schedule a time for a technician to visit them with regards to their Incident. The team wants that scheduled time to be added to the tech's Outlook calendar along with various pieces of information from the ticket and user record.

Hi Dennis,

I was hoping for an out of box solution i was not aware of. It would be very logical out of box ServiceNow would have an outlook calendar integration like most large products these days, but I found that is no the case. Researching I found a few folks that did it with major scripting and that solution led me to take it off my plate.

Hey Dennis,

This is by no means a full on integration, but I think you might find it useful since this is built around a similar concept of "We need to block off time for an engineer in Outlook based off of a task in ServiceNow". Hopefully it's of some help to you.
