OK one more time with this issue, maybe someone can explain what I'm not getting.
I'm working on a proof of concept in UI Builder, and opening up a record from a click event. My table does not extend Task. When I wire up the click event in my list to open the selected record, I get
This form has not been configured for Workspace. To edit the form, select a different type of record, or contact your administrator.
Of course many people have asked about this, and many others have replied, so let me take this example of a reply (clearer than most), and the steps I took to carry out its instructions..
I go to System UI | Views.
I open the workspace record (I created this earlier).
I click on New under the Forms tab and add a row representing my form.
Then I open a record from my table and choose Configure | Form Layout.
I confirm that my table has a Workspace view.
But when I open UI Builder and open my record, I get the same message.
So what is it I did not do, or did incorrectly?

Here is the solution: If you put a Form - fields component on the destination Page, you have to fill in the View field. The default value is ess.

Did you create the view in the right application scope? I also just go to the form, edit the form layout, click new view and type in workspace and then edit the view. I don't go to the UI View table and add it there.

The UI View is in Global - and it was last updated four years ago. (So I must have been mistaken when I saud above that I created it.)
If I try to create another I get an error about a duplicate entry.
Inside that there are tabs for Forms, Form Sections, Lists and Related Lists. Only Form Sections has anything related to my table, and it's scoped correctly.
So I deleted that, and opened up an existing record to check that the Form view and section is now limited to Default view (it is). So I chose New..., named it Workspace, and saved it.
The System UI | Views record now shows what it did before, one related records under the Form Sections tab, in my application scope.
But I got the same result in UI Builder.

Hmm, unfortunately I have not done much with Scoped apps because I got tired of issues like this. So you may want to just file a case with support.

Do you see the view on the classic UI context menu list of views? You should not if it was created correctly, as it should be hidden from that UI.
