I'm trying to use the change_task.itil.role email template for a custom assignee field i created on the change request form but its not allowing me to save the notification.
should i create a new notification with the same template or is using that OOB template not allowed?
this is how i filled out the notification form:
When to send = Type| is| review
who will receive = User/group in field (custom assignee field)
What it will contain= email template "change_task_itil.role

Have you selected "inserted" or "updated" as your trigger criteria? There is BR that will prevent form submission if one of these is not selected

@DevtoSME I had tried to replicate the issue and below is my comments and I don't face any issues in saving the notification form.
If you want the value to be displayed on all the change task notifications, then you can edit on the OOB template and use it.
1. In OOB template "change_task.itil.role", I have added the custom field to the change task form and derived it from the "Fields" section.
2. Created a new notification or existing notification and tagged the template. For testing purpose, tagged a user to the "Additional Implementer"
Please mark this as helpful and accept it as a solution if this resolves your query.
