Order Guide Request Closing after any RITM closes - FOUND SOLUTION

Found solution on my own.

I am creating an order guide that, depending on selections, will create several RITMS.

While this is working as it should, having two issues:

1.  The order guide request is populating the short description with one of the random RITM's short descriptions.

2.  As soon as 1 of the associated RITMS closes as complete, the order guide Request is going to Closed Complete status as well.

Any idea what is causing both issues and how can I resolve?

Also I created a different order 6 months ago and the main request for the order guide does not close until ALL the RITMS have closed - however it is still picking up a random short description from one of the RITMs.  That was created in Rome version and even though we have upgraded to San Diego, it is still working as designed.

So has anything changed in creating Order Guides in San Diego that is affecting this process?

Good Morning Terrie,

Can you share your solution on how to keep the Request open until all the RITMS are closed.  I am having the same issue.

Thank you

Absolutely!  Just so you know, I am the queen of workarounds and prior to upgrading to San Diego, the Order Guides were not acting this way!

Attached are the steps I did based on the fact that this is an employee onboarding order guide, so there is an employee onboarding catalog item with it.  I made that the main one and added in a catalog task to that one to not close this RITM until they verify all the linked RITMS are closed first.

As I stated, there may be a better solution, but I tried business rules, client scripts, etc., and this is the only one that worked.  This may not resolve your situation and if it doesn't, post a question yourself on this site - they are very responsive!

Thank you so much!  I will give this a try.  I appreciate your help!

No problem!  Good luck!
