Hi All!
I have this issue when users submit requests for multiple people at once by using 'add to cart' button, which does not work properly.
For example, I need to submit ServiceNow access request for 10 different people. In this case, I would select catalog item variables for 1st user, then press 'add to cart' which would add my desired item to my cart. I would then stay on the same form and change variable for access to 2nd user, 'add to cart', then 3rd user, 'add to cart', etc. Once I select last user I would 'order now' all 10 access requests at once. So far everything is working well. When I order 10 items, this actually gets logged as one request (REQ) and 10 different requested items (RITMs).
However (here is the issue), since REQ supports only single 'requested for', all RITMs 'requested for' gets coppied over with the last selected user's name. Therefore, all 10 items end up being submitted for one same person rather than 10 different users.
I know I can go and submit requests one by one, however, it is a bit of a pain when requests need to be submitted for 10, 20 or even 50+ users.
Did anyone experience the same kind of issue? What did you do to solve this? Did anyone create anything for allowing users to submit multiple requests for multiple users at once?
I would greatly appreciate any throughts, suggestions, ideas!
Kind Regards,
Kamile

Hello Kamile,
One of the easy ways to do it would be to setup Order Guides (Service Catalog Order Guides - ServiceNow Wiki) so you can request multiple items in the same request. To request the same items for other users you can enable bulk request (Enabling Bulk Requests - ServiceNow Wiki). By default the bulk limit increase is 10. To increase the limit this thread will help (Re: Order more than 10 requests using Bulk Order Requests functionality).
Please let me know if it helps.

Bulk requests is really nice functionality, but you're cloning requests, so the drawback is that all of your requests have to be identical.

Hi Arnie,
Thank you for your suggestion. I was looking into Order Guides and Bulk Requests actually but as Brad said - bulk requests have to be identical and my goal is to allow users to submit different variable, multiple item, and multiple user requests at once. Unless bulk item functionality could be edited, I am not sure if this would work for us the best.. But thank you for sharing your ideas!

Hello Kamile & Naveen,
If my understanding is correct on above your requirements....It was in general it is as well a best way of approach to fulfill the requirement. by order guides are using for bulk data sources/requests to submit different variable, multiple item, and multiple user requests at a time as you can up to 10k records at a time .
if you need any additional info on the same please let us know.
Thanks,
Surya Kattela (KSN Swamy).
