Hi,
I have a PA Dashboard that references 2 existing reports. My update set contains just the dashboard creation. I get this error when i preview the update set, Is there a workaround for this problem.
Thank you,
Raj

Hi Raj,
Update Set preview issues are explained in the wiki- including methods to resolve the problem:
Transferring Update Sets - ServiceNow Wiki
Thanks

Everytime you create and Dashboard Tab (pa_tab) it will automatically create an Portal Page (sys_portal_page). If you open the pa_tab record form, you will see this Portal Page in the Reference Field "Page" [page].
While Dashboard Tabs are covered in Update Sets, Portal Pages aren't. You explicitly need to go to the sys_portal_page list, right click on the page, and select "Unload Homepage" as described in the Product Documentation
I know this thread is 3 years old but I get this issue over and over again. This should really be done automatically, nobody is anticipating that and they don't even tell you this issue in the Performance Analytics trainings.

Yes it should be done automatically. There are more things that I don't quite understand in regards update set recording.
For example, why aren't scheduled jobs automatically moved to the update set? They are basically scheduled-business rules.
Or why is assessment result data recorded into the update set? They even contain references to the Change Request it was triggered by. When configuring assessments, I always have to remove my tests manually from the update set before transferring the update set to another instance. I learned this the hard way and spend half a day removing junk data with invalid references to Change Requests that didn't exist in the other instance.
These are just a couple of examples, I'm sure there are more.

@Niclas - Is this error something we can just ignore?
What should I ideally do here?
I checked in pa_tabs table and I see these 2 new entries -
