Pass-through condition for approval workflow action

Hi folks,

I am making a workflow with an approval action.  I want to setup a loop with a timer event that resubmits the approval request after a period of days if no approval action was taken by the approver.  I would like to setup a condition on the approval action that does not wait for any approval but immediately passes to the timer action.  I have tried using the "Else" condition type but it does not fire immediately when the approval action is reached.

Can anyone help with how this can be accomplished?

I decided to loop on a notification to the requester and not regenerate the approval.
