Our PDI dev432286 is used for AtlasXT integration testing. Can it be kept active past the Oct 16 reclamation date?

The only viable option is to assume you could lose your PDI anytime, so backup accordingly, and have an alternative testing strategy, etc.

People are getting caught out by unexpected PDI failures and reclamations every single day at the moment and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Hi @KimballL

There is no way to retain PDI after getting Reclaim notification. Also there is no support available for PDI.

So take a backup of your work in regular interval . Once your instance is reclaimed ,Request for new instance -> import your backed up work there.

FYI ->Keeping PDIs Available for Active Builders: Upcoming PDI Reclamation Changes

As per above article ,

reclaiming PDIs that meet both of these conditions:

  • 90 days or older (based on when they were provisioned)
  • Haven't had a PDI login in the last 10 days

Please check this Personal Developer Instance (PDI) Guide

Where it is written-

"When a PDI is reclaimed, the instance is unassigned from you, reset to its original state, and reassigned to another Developer Site user. Reclaiming instances allows ServiceNow to supply active developer site user with free instances."

Once it is reclaimed, only option is left i.e Request for New PDI instance.

Hello @KimballL ,

As far as I know, the PDI is unlikely to remain active beyond the scheduled reclamation date, as the Personal Developer Instance program does not provide support for extending instance availability.

Please make sure to back up your work before the instance is reclaimed to avoid losing any configurations or data.

If this helps you then mark it as helpful and accept as solution .

Aditya

ServiceNow developers deserve better than the current PDI infrastructure mess.

I'd appreciated your support with this post, it's time get the company to listen and take action.
