Hi,
My Personal Developer Instance suddenly returned a 502 Bad Gateway error while I was actively developing.
This started around 4 PM JST today when I refreshed the page to see updated data.
Now in the Developer Portal the instance shows as "offline", and there is no Wake up / Start / Resume option available.
Unfortunately, I had ongoing development and some changes were not saved yet, so I am quite worried about the data.
I saw some other Community posts mentioning that for 502 errors there is nothing users can do except wait, so I wanted to ask:
- Is there any ongoing maintenance or known issue right now?
- Has anyone else experienced the same problem today?
- Is waiting the only option in this situation, or can the instance be checked / restored from the backend if possible?
The instance has been actively used in the past couple of weeks.
Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Hi @金晶陶
Here are some points to consider:
- There is no support available for PDI.
- Wait if possible.
- You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.
There is no maintenance going on, as I have been able to use PDI since this morning

Hi @金晶陶,
this is quite common, and nothing can be done about it, just to wait... check your PDI's status here:
https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/manage-instance
and most likely during the 502 error it will say it's refreshing.
In my experience, trying to manually refresh it just prolongs the time, the best thing is to wait and do nothing - go get some water and in a few minutes it shall be back. The operation - performed before getting the 502 - is sometimes saved and sometimes it isn't ://

Thank you both for sharing your experience!
I will wait and monitor the instance status for now.
