There is nothing which can be done. SN no longer monitors PDI issues. This used to be the case, but they stopped (and after all: it's a free instance). For a short while there was the "Give feedback" option, but that has been disabled also.

You can try to have your instance restored through the developer site. And always remember to backup anything you don’t want to lose. A PDI isn’t reliable for keeping your work safe. Use git, xml or update sets so you will always be able to restore your work.

If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful. If it resolved the issue, please mark it as correct.

Sadly, not supporting something because it is free makes it useless. My personal dev instance broke as well and there is no way to get support. If this is the new level of service SN should stop offering dev instances.

I disagree. ServiceNow never stated to (fully) support the PDI. In fact: they say they don't. PDI's are great to check out some stuff, do some trial and (t)error, create some stuff for yourself or your customer if you can't develop on the customer instance (which would raise some flags, by the way). And if you break it, you get a new one.

And yes, it is very annoying they have so many issues with unavailability, but the platform provides numerous ways to save your work, so you can just load it on a new one and work further. It's about you own discipline doing so.

It's a great service from SN to provide these free PDI's to developers and it has never been stated that you can rely on it to be 100% up. Could the support be better? Yes. Should it be better? Probably. But it isn't, so use the PDI as a tool, make sure you save your work to git, xml, update sets and if you loose access, get a new one, apply your work and proceed.

Hi @R.Ogawa ,

Instance being in offline mode and failing to backup/restore is an intermittent issue for some days now. No other option than to wait for some time. Unfortunately, Instance support is no longer provided by ServiceNow and no update on this issue is being provided by ServiceNow. We no longer have feedback button also.

For any urgent work, Best you can do now is to release the instance and request for new one if you don't have important data. You can get a new instance in less than 5 minutes.

According to the business impact and if it is a customer/partner instance, you can raise HI case for this issue.

For PDI, ServiceNow no longer provides any support. You can try your luck by explaining the impact this outage has caused, drop an email to ServiceNow Developer Program <developer@servicenow.com>

Mark this as Helpful if applicable.

Regards,

Shubham
