PDI Offline: Shows "Last Active 4 Days Ago" despite daily use – How long to recover?

Hello Community,

I am experiencing an issue with my Personal Developer Instance (PDI) dev193732 (Australia Release).

Currently, my instance status is showing as offline. What is confusing is that the ServiceNow Developer Portal claims my "last activity was 4 days ago." However, I have been actively working on this instance every single day.

I have a few questions for anyone who has faced this:
1. Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy where daily activity isn't registered by the Developer Portal?
2. How long does it typically take for an instance in this state to come back online?
3. Is there any action I can take to force a wake-up/recovery, or do I need to wait for an automated backend sync?

Any insights, advice, or help from the community (or the ServiceNow Developer Program team) would be highly appreciated, as I have ongoing work on this instance that I would prefer not to lose.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Best regards,
Om Jaiswal

Hi @omjaiswal

It looks like this is a known issue.

There is no official support for this issue, so it is difficult to say exactly what is causing it or when it will be resolved. At this stage, patience may be the best option while waiting for a fix.

An infrastructure-related issue beginning on July 22 caused the ServiceNow Developer Site to become temporarily unavailable and affected the availability of some Personal Developer Instances (PDIs).

The Developer Site is now back online, but some PDI-related actions remain paused while ServiceNow continues to investigate and resolve the issue.

Current status:

Developer Site: Available

New PDI provisioning: Paused

PDI reclaim and wake actions: Paused

Existing PDIs: Some remain offline

User action required: None at this time

ServiceNow does not expect any data loss. Affected PDIs are currently hibernating, and the data stored on them is expected to remain available once the instances are restored.

If your PDI is offline, you will need to wait until it becomes available again before accessing your data. No action is currently required.

ServiceNow is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

Hi @omjaiswal

Please refer:  Incident: Developer Site Restored and PDI Availability Issues

Wait for platform recovery . At some certain interval Refresh the instance from developer portal.

Do not worry. It would be working as before.

Note: If after 6-7 days, its not working/ if you have urgent work in PDI, then you can think about Release the instance and request for new one.

There is no support available for PDI .

Please Accept the solution if it assisted you with your question & Mark this response as Helpful.
