PDI Service is getting interrupted quite frequently; no communication from ServiceNow

Since the start of April 2025, PDI is going down quite frequently and staying unavailable for almost 3-4 days.

ServiceNow needs to realize that a PDI is not merely a free service they are providing to developers; its their most important selling point.

If such interruptions happen so frequently, especially over weekends, that is not acceptable.

Also, there is no minimum communication from ServiceNow in this regard.

Hi @subhadeep1618 ,

I actually don't agree to your statement. PDI is a free service as there are cost to run an instance on their data center which you don't pay anything for. If you instead are a ServiceNow Customer and have bought your instances, then there is support and High availability. To state that PDIs are selling point is very far fetch in my opinion.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.

Hi @subhadeep1618

I think you're heading in the wrong direction. PDI isn’t a selling point; it’s intended for developers or anyone who wants to learn about ServiceNow and gain hands-on experience. Additionally, ServiceNow is providing it for free, but there’s no support available. PDI is a very resource-intensive tool, and running thousands of PDIs is not an easy task. I agree that in the last 1-2 weeks, the interruptions and unavailability of PDI have increased, and there has been a lack of communication about these issues.

Sorry folks, nothing is free in this world, and please don't believe that PDI is a social service being offered.

This is business and we developers are the facilitators of that business.

So, when the service is not available, we have every right to seek support.
