PLC ((Programmable Logic Controller) and RTU (remote terminal unit)configurations as CI's in CMDB?

Hi Team,

Does anyone have created PLC  and RTU devices in CMDB? Which class should be used in this case. It is controlling devices .I am not sure which class to use for this in CMDB table, Do i need to extend my CMDb and create a new class for PLC and RTU devices or there is any existing class in CMDB i can use it? Thanks

Have you found a good way to handle this? We have the same goal. I was going to just create a new class and call it "Telemetry Device", but I wanted to see if anyone else had done this already.
