Hi All,

There is a requirement to show custom portal only to a specific group, like "ITSM Devs", remaining all other users must not have access to view the portal and other group should be lock down to that portal.

Hi @DevYadav ,

 

For every portal page there is a 'Role' field which you can use for this. You can create or use existing roles to put in there and then add that role to your 'ITSM Devs' group making them enabled to access that portal page.

 

Another option, 'User Criteria' also works for Portal. You can go through this below link for the documentation to use this functionality by creating 'User criteria' per your need.

With user criteria or roles, both you can use to control access to a page or widget.

I believe the question was, how can someone control access to the entire portal (any portal). I have asked the same in my recent post: Disable access to (CSM) portal - ServiceNow Community

I do not know why there  is no OOTB solution for that. Maybe the ServiceNow assumption is, you need to configure access for each portal component (page, widget) individually. Not so very nice IMO.

 

Ideas?
