Portal Settings request method not working

For some reason the Request Method option in Portal Settings for a request item has never worked for me. Tried to use in Madrid without success, now trying in Orlando and it still doesn't work. It just always displays the default which is "Order" no matter what is actually selected.

I've tried multiple items, tried different options and as I said I've tried multiple ServiceNow versions without any success.

Anyone have this issue and/or know how to fix it?

I've also tried this in my Dev Instance of Orlando and have no issues at all

On dev are you admin? Can you press ctrl + click the right mouse button. You should see this menu:

If you press Show Widget Customizations you can check if anyone adjusted it. This might be a possible cause. Can you also check the name. For me it sais "SC Catalog Item" on top of the menu.

Hi Moedeb,

In my P

DI on Orlando the form looks different and the Portal settings work:

< INSTANCE >.service-now.com/sp?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=10d38a4fc611227601125facd251cad2

You checked in you Personal Dev instance and it also looked like that. What is the page url you see?

Kind regards,

Willem

They look different just because I have one showing the submit button at the bottom of the page and one showing it on the side.

I've tried changing it to look the same in my Prod version and it still doesn't display the button correctly.

The URL's show the same format in both instances.

So as it turns out I made some customisations to the widget some time ago that I'd completely forgotten about and can't even remember why.

As soon as I put the OOB widget back it works exactly as advertised.

Thanks for the help @Willem
