Portfolio Planning items not appearing in Prioritization tab but are in Roadmap

I'm looking into Portfolio Planning and having trouble understanding how it works.  I've got a portfolio created, I've got a few demands linked to the portfolio, added a department value as well and created a Portfolio Plan that looks at this portfolio.

 

In the Portfolio Planning Workspace, I don't see any of the demands in the Prioritization or Hierarchy tab but do see them in the Roadmap tab.

 

I've confirmed the integrations are configured and there are no errors when importing existing records.  I've confirmed the demands I have, haven't been converted to projects or epics. If I create a new demand or project from the Planning workspace, these also do not appear in the Prioritization tab.

 

Does anyone have any idea what I might be missing here?

It seems that the demands aren't showing up in Prioritization or Hierarchy because they might not be linked to a portfolio plan item type that those tabs can see. In Portfolio Planning, only demands and projects that are clearly connected to portfolio plan items (with the right scoring criteria and hierarchy set up) show up in those views. Make sure that your requests are linked to the portfolio plan through the "Portfolio Plan Item" field and that you have set up criteria for prioritizing them. If you don't, they will only show up in the Roadmap tab.
