Possible to filter survey instances to those created by an incident assigned to Group X?

I have not tried anything, as I cannot see any way to work back to the incident assignment group, and implement that query in the filter.

Yes, please create your report on the Task Assessment Details [task_assessment_detail] database view.

It  has all the details about the survey and the related task.
