Hi,

What information does "process step" column provide from Approvals (sysapproval_approver) table?

I did not find any reference about it in help guide.

Can we use it to provide some information about my the application that triggered the approval in that column? Like the stage the application is in so that our approvers do not need to open it to understand at what stage it is? (Like New, Manager Approval , HR approval stage etc)

Hi,

The field is a Legacy field which I don't think is in use as of now, while defining Approvals. This field is a reference one and Refer to the "process_step" table which you can navigate by process_step.LIST from Application Navigator Search as shown below:

Hi Shloke,

I left the thread open intentionally since you mentioned that you were not sure 100% that this was not used anymore in the newer versions, I was just holding on to the thread if someone from ServiceNow or any other community user would confirm the same. I was also looking in parallel to see if this can be used to show the stages of workflow.
