Publishing a non-native (externally built) application with API integration to ServiceNow Store

Hi everyone,

we have developed our own independent software solution, which is not built on the Now Platform.
However, many of our target customers are ServiceNow users, and our solution can integrate with ServiceNow via standard APIs (for example, using ServiceNow as the single source of truth for data such as the CMDB).

We would like to:

  • offer our solution to ServiceNow customers,
  • list it in the ServiceNow Store / Marketplace, and
  • clearly show that it integrates with ServiceNow, although it is not a native Now Platform app.

I’ve read the Build Partner Program Module Guide (January 2025) and saw that there is an Embedded Platform Model Program mentioned for “fully native applications (no dependency on SKU’d products).”
However, our product is external, connecting only via API — not running within the Now Platform.

My question:
What is the correct process or program path for listing such an externally hosted, API-based solution in the ServiceNow Store?
Do we still need to join the Build Partner Program, and if yes, under which model (e.g., “Platform Embedded Model” or another path)?

Any guidance or official reference would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Ali
