Pulling Records to QA a Service Team

Hello everyone,

 

I'm a long term user, first time poster.  I have a unique business request that I'm struggling to answer.  Our help desk managers want to QA our tier 1 staff.  To do this, they would like a random sample set of incidents and cases initially triaged by those users.  This will be used to populate a QA dashboard where a manager can request additional samples as needed. 

 

Getting a random sample is easy enough but I cannot find the best way to grab records where these individuals first addressed an incident/case and may not be currently assigned to it.  I have tried the task, and metric_instance tables with mixed results.  

 

I've created a custom table to handle dashboard and review form.  What I'm struggling with is creating a button on this dashboard that will generate a new sample set.  I've created a UI Page and added it as a widget to the dashboard but cannot get it to reference back to the original dashboard without sending the user to a new page. 

 

Is there anybody out there with fresh ideas that can help me out?

Have you looked at the coaching module? It's not often looked at but leans into what you're looking to achieve. It's part of ITSM
