Queries on cart option in Service Portal

Whenever we use the cart option in Service portal & submit the items, multiple RITMs get created but all tagged to a single REQ record. Is there any way to create multiple REQs? 
Also, on the checkout page only the name of the added item gets displayed, is there a way to display its variables also?

Nope you cannot create multiple Requests if submitted once from cart. That is expected because, for end user he submitted only one order adding multiple items into cart at once.
