Hello all!!
I'm not sure how URL type fields work. I know that once locked, they display a hyperlink.
-> But would we be able to click on it and go to the path on the network? Like if we store a path to a folder, would that folder be opened once the URL field value is clicked?
-> Are there any restrictions or rules for this to work?
I'd greatly appreciate any more information anyone could provide on this field type since the documentation doesn't have much. Thanks in advance!!

Can you show me a screenshot of the location field you are referring to?
Thanks

Hi ctomasi,
Did you have a chance to look at the image and see if there's any way to implement similar functionality in ServiceNow?

Hi Veena,
Sorry, I did not.
I'm about to get on a plane in a few minutes and be out until Monday next week. I will try to look at it then if nobody has gotten to it first.

Hi Veena,
Sorry for the long delay. I've done some looking. The field you circled does not appear to be a standard OOB field. I see nothing in the system dictionary with 'vault' in the name (at least in my instance.)
If you right-click on the field label and select "Show xxx" (where xxx is the name of the field) it will display some detailed information about the field. Can you send a screenshot of that? It will look something like this.
