"My approvals" list not showing up for approvers - Custom application and custom role

Hi,

We've a workflow running on a custom table. Approvers and requestors have custom role. There is an approval activity (Approval-User activity) in the workflow. However, approvers couldn't see "My approvals" list. These approvers has only following roles,

1. custom role and 2. snc_internal.

I tried adding approval admin role but even then "My approval" list doesn't show up for the approver.

Which would be the correct role or what is the way to resolve this?

Add approver_user role to the group.

I have just added approval activity in the workflow and defined the approver which is available as form field value. ie. User chooses the approver, for eg. Business Unit Head

 

This approver(user choosen field value) is assigned with our custom role. That particular user doesn't have any other role.
